A great experience to visit an old gaol and see and read first hand about how it was run.Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
A great place to visit - well presented displays and some fun performances that engage the kids. I went with kids ages 5-8 and some of the displays were a little too adult (eg information about hangings etc) but it was easy to avoid those and spend time looking at other displays.
Well worth a visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very funny. Highly recommend
If you like visiting old jails then this place is for you. Make sure you read all the signs as they have detailed description of the events happening there. They offer twilight and night tours. Both include a day entrance on the day or the day after. I didn't think that a night tour was something very special, but the tour guide was passionate and a good story teller. They also let you use emf readers to find ghosts (if that's something for you). But being in the jail when it's pitch black was pretty cool.
Loved it! The show was a highlight. Some of the stories you will read are quite haunting. I don't think i would survive one of the ghost tours that are offered!
