Stayed here for two nights in the two bedroom apartment with my family. It definitely has the home-away-from-home feeling that we were aiming for. The provided a convenient base for us from which to visit Dubbo Zoo, whilst not being far from restaurants and supermarkets. The rooms themselves were tidy, clean and had modern furnishings.
I got into my accommodation at some ungodly hour after 11 hours of driving over the Christmas period. I had issues with my phone and didn't get Matt's messages that he had left me a key. Despite me waking him he was so courteous and helpful. For a girl travelling on her own in an unfamiliar area it was very comforting to feel safe. The rooms are clean and tidy and the bed was THE BEST!! Very quiet even though on main road as it's set back and absolutely perfect for an overnight stay. Thank you Matt. Luvya work!
Nice, clean facilities and very friendly staff. Location was super convenient next to McDonald's and a super short drive to Western Plains Zoo
A disappointing stay. Not value for money. Would not recommened for families with very young children. The most important things we needed were faulty (fridge, fans and kettle).The fans in both bedrooms were so slow you couldn't feel a breeze and one fan (in the kid's room of course) was SUPER loud (clicking and banging noises). The fridge didn't work (freezer did) and there was an awful smell coming from under the sink. The kettle was all rusted at the opening so we couldn't use it. Our room also backed onto the highway and there didn't seem to be any sound proofing so we could hear every car/truck/emergency service vehicle all night = not a lot of sleep to go around. On the positive side, it did have internet upon request, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We won't be returning but do hope you have a better experience and management can use our review to improve their business.
I was really happy with my stay! Myself and my baby daughter stayed at akuna for a wedding weekend. We even got an upgrade at no extra cost which was perfect as I could put my daughter in her own room which helped her sleep. the facilities were immaculate and well stocked. I was more then pleased with the rooms!
